Slow Down...Enjoying the Time We're Given...

Today I'm sitting at home, enjoying the rain falling outside. Right now I'm just glad that I can sit inside and enjoy it without having to get out in it! It's nice to sit and enjoy for a moment. We have been going pretty hard for the past couple weeks. We moved into our first home about 2 weeks ago, and we have been diligently working to get little projects done! We are so excited to be in our first home, and we absolutely love everything about it! This past weekend we met our surrounding neighbors and everyone is so sweet and generous! We also have a lot of Auburn fans around us...WAR EAGLE!!
I know I say it often and it could be passed off as just something to say, but we truly are SO blessed beyond belief. Feeling blessed, and knowing how blessed we are goes so far beyond material possessions or current financial status...we do have all we need, but more than that...we have the love of our heavenly Father. Knowing that my eternal fate is secure with a God who loves me more than I will ever know is all I need to say that I am blessed. I have been thinking lately, that having that relationship with my heavenly father gives me a more positive outlook, and I can see every little blessing from the Lord a little clearer! I have a precious relationship with my family, and I am blessed to have a few great friends and the Lord has showered me with the amazing love of my wonderful husband! All I want to do is honor my heavenly father by loving like he loves. I want to do his work. I want to see with his eyes...I want to be his hands and feet. Even though I fall short in so many ways, I never want to catch myself giving up the fight. I want to always strive to bless my father's heart and love Him with all of mine. My prayer for every shift I work at Children's is "Father...use me tonight. I want to serve you by serving your children. Father help me to touch the lives of those who need a touch from you. I pray that they see a difference in me...and I pray that the difference they see is You!" Life is short...and growing shorter with each day. I don't want to miss a moment.
I hope everyone is doing well. I'll have to post some pictures of the house when I can get a moment to take some good ones. Today won't be the day...quite yucky out today.
Lots of Love to All!
K & J and Norah too!

I love the words to this song by Josh Wilson! So true of my hearts desire. I refuse to..."Sit around and wait for someone else to do what God has called me to do myself."

I REFUSE
Sometimes I,
I just want to close my eyes
And act like everyone’s alright
When I know they’re not.
This world needs God
But it’s easier to stand and watch.
I could pray a prayer and just move on
Like nothing’s wrong.

But I refuse.

‘Cause I don’t want to live like I don’t care.
I don’t want to say another empty prayer.
Oh, I refuse to
Sit around and wait for someone else
To do what God has called me to do myself.
Oh, I could choose
Not to move but I refuse.

I can hear the least of these
Crying out so desperately,
And I know we are the hands and feet
Of you, oh god.
So, if you say move,
Then it’s time for me to follow through,
And do what I was made to do.
Show them who you are.

‘Cause I don’t want to live like I don’t care.
I don’t want to say another empty prayer.
Oh, I refuse to
Sit around and wait for someone else
To do what God has called me to do myself.
Oh, I could choose
Not to move but I refuse.

To stand and watch
The weary and lost
Cry out for help.
I refuse
To turn my back
And try and act like all is well.
I refuse
To stay unchanged,
To wait another day,
To die to myself.
I refuse
To make one more excuse.

‘Cause I don’t want to live like I don’t care.
I don’t want to say another empty prayer.
Oh, I refuse to
Sit around and wait for someone else
To do what God has called me to do myself.
Oh, I could choose
Not to move but I refuse.

Here are a couple cute pictures of Miss Norah. She was modeling one of her Christmas outfits! I think she's ready for Christmas!! HeHe! She loves that little skirt! It has bells on it, so I think she loves hearing herself jingle! She doesn't care for the antlers though! HaHa! Enjoy! She makes us smile!
